Intelligent Processing Engine (IPE)

Invu, the electronic document management specialist, has developed an intelligent engine, which automates the scanning, reading and filing of documents. The product, called Intelligent Processing Engine (IPE), can be used in any industry sector, which has a requirement to process and file information electronically, such as construction, financial services or professional services or even accounts departments.

IPE allows Documents to be scanned into Invu and be automatically indexed according to document type, format, contact details, recipient company, subject, topic, date or any information that a company deems important. All these can be searched for easily when required, which can save companies a large amount of time as staff no longer need to rummage around in filing cabinets. Finding information quickly is an essential tool in the armoury of any business.

IPE is a rules-based engine, which, once taught, enables it to carry out a plethora of activities. The more the system is used the smarter those rules become. When a document is scanned in, it makes an assumption, based on the rules set up, about where the electronic document should be stored and which workflow it should follow.

IPE's rules-based engine provides businesses with the power to be able to set up their own intelligent virtual departments, such as accounts, post rooms or customer services. Documents will be automatically stored in these virtual offices and be immediately retrievable whenever required.
