When the scanner arrived it was smaller than expected which is great because nobody likes a big peice of equipment sat on their desk, but for a small scanner we were surprised how well it worked, very quick and easy to use. All in all a great peice of equipment.

First time I’ve reviewed anything – I had to though as this kit is the bee’s knees. My use is home office + community website support. Setup was straightforward with clear instructions on how to remove packing tape etc. and install the feed roller. Almost the first item I scanned was a brochure cover with a very complicated dark background - the results were perfect. Scanning speed is excellent. A good software package too – I use Paperport anyway and the 2010C integrates wonderfully. I just can’t fault it.

I'm very happy with the Canon DR-2010C. I've set it some tricky tasks, from glossy partwork magazines to old handwritten notes in faded blue ink on recycled paper, and have always been able to find settings to extract the information I need.
Sheet feeding seems to work perfectly with good originals though jams can happen with random assortments of paper types. My only caveat is that the colour reproduction is not quite as strong as the rest of the package, but this is clearly not the focus of the product.
